Tiny Sticks Program
The Essex Youth Lacrosse "Tiny Sticks" Program is for K-2nd graders and will be held every Saturday from May 3rd - June 7th, 8:30-10:00am at the Essex High School lacrosse fields. The Tiny Laxers will be coached by a combination of parents and the boy and girls high school lacrosse teams.
The goal of this program is to introduce the great game of lacrosse by practicing the basic fundamentals of the sport like catching, throwing, cradling and scooping ground balls in a fun and non-contact environment. It is a way to get your kid comfortable with the game before moving to more competitive play.
There is no padding or equipment involved, just the player's stick.
We encourage parents to purchase a stick for their tiny lax player so they can practice their skills at home but sticks can be provided on an as needed basis. Please let us know.
We look forward to having a fun and exciting spring introducing the game to some new tiny laxers!
